Zoo Events Group are on the hunt for practical, forward-thinking individuals to join our exciting events team over the summer. We require dedicated individuals who enjoy working outdoors, travelling the country and co-operating within small teams.

We specialise in the events industry to provide glamping to many prestigious and famous events and festivals all over the UK including Glastonbury, Boomtown, Ramblin Man Fair & Nozstock to name but a few!

Event Crew (Available 21st May – 20th September)

Hours: Minimum 45 hours per week. Hours can vary per week and will consist of weekend work.

The position is temporary and will start in May through to September. We are on the look-out for temporary roles to become full time so if we are impressed with your abilities and standards there is the potential for a full-time role.

Salary: Hourly Rate dependant on experience. Rates between £7.50-£9 per hour. We will also take on self-employed individuals.

This role is perfect for someone wanting to get their foot in the door of the event industry and who has practical, hands on skills

Responsibilities and Duties

• Rigging Glamping sites within a team

• Furnishing the structures to their specification with various packages

• Attending events and festivals, front of house staff, exchanging money and authorising tickets

• Providing a concierge service to guests and checking them in

• Loading/unloading vehicles

• Team leading and managing small teams

Qualifications and Skills

  • Good time keeping and practically minded
  • Happy to work weekends and overtime
  • Good level of fitness
  • UK driving licence and own transport as the premises is in a rural location

Full training will be provided

Desirable Skills (not essential):

  • Qualifications or experience in event management or hospitality
  • Lorry or towing licenses (C1, C1+E, B+E)
  • Forklift licence or experience

An exciting opportunity has become available to join Zoo Events Group as an Office Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting sales, liaising with clients, handling all forms of enquiries and general tasks within our office.

At Zoo Events Group we specialise in the hire of luxury event facilities for all kinds of occasions. ZooLoos provides high end washrooms and ZooBells install lavish ‘glamping’ accommodation.

We’re looking for someone who is excellent at prioritising tasks and who can think on their feet. Punctuality is key, and a friendly and approachable manner is required when speaking to colleagues and clients.

Hours: 8am-5pm Monday – Friday (you may be asked to work in excess of these hours and occasionally weekends)

This position is temporary and we would like the candidate to start in April until late September but we are flexible. We are on the look-out for temporary roles to become permanent so if we are impressed with your abilities there is the potential for a permanent role.

Hourly pay: Between £7.50-£8.00 per hour.

The Role:

  • Supporting the office staff with preparing and gathering quotes, as well as generating sales leads and securing events.
  • Booking travel and accommodation for staff and purchasing products as required
  • Liaising with clients over the phone or through email. Answering the phone and taking detailed notes and responding to emails promptly
  • Preparing various documents, Health and safety reports and site plans
  • Taking a lead role in the company’s social and online presence. Creating online and paper advertisements promoting what we do.
  • General administrative support to the Office Manager and Directors.

Required/desirable skills:

  • Good knowledge of Quickbooks Online or Desktop. Knowledge of using Apple Mac will also help the candidate
  • Experience in using Word, Excel and Powerpoint – other creative software would be very beneficial e.g. Photoshop, Indesign
  • Previous administrative, secretarial or sales led experience
  • Excellent organisational skills and an ability to manage several tasks simultaneously.
  • Polite phone manner, excellent grammar and a professional approach
  • Knowledge in social media, advertising and promotion
