The Hidden Valley Pop Up Glampsite

Open from Friday July 10th throughout the summer…

Nestled and secluded in the heart of the Wylye Valley, The Hidden Valley Pop Up Glampsite offers the perfect glamping retreat to escape from the outside world and be serenaded by the dulcet sounds of English birdsong and the calming rhythm of the chirp of crickets. Located off the A36 between Salisbury and Bath with easy access to and from the A303. If it weren’t for the detailed instructions, leading you down a narrow private road, you would never believe that The Hidden Valley even existed.

On an exclusive hidden glampsite containing only 10 pitches with significant spacing between them to minimise any interruptions by fellow glampers. Such privacy is, of course, the appeal of The Hidden Valley the site retains a peaceful and secluded ambience.

The Hidden Valley glampsite is situated in a grand expanse of the English countryside offering the perfect playground for rambunctious children to roll down the hills and sprint around the meadows amidst the roe deer, flora and fauna.

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic we are able to offer exclusive use facilities to ensure your household doesn’t come into contact with any other household in accordance with Government guidelines. Each pitch has it’s own DEDICATED PORTALOO next to their tent and PRIVATE SHOWER to combat the risk of infection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently asked questions

We ask that you can check-in between 4pm and 10pm and check-out between 8am and 10am to allow our team to changeover the camp.

We will have a member of staff available at all times and you will be provided their contact details prior to arrival.

Please bring extra duvets if you feel the cold easily, your own water bottle, food, towel, shampoo etc, your own phone charger, a torch. Your own pots and pans etc however you can hire a BBQ

The camp is off-grid and that’s how we like it. However we understand people are attached to their tech so in our “spread out” communal area by the check-in we will have some plugs where people can plug in their phones, also there is 4G available in the valley.

We supply Fridges at the check-in area, which is a short walk away up the valley from your tents. Each booking party will be issued with their own fridge so there is no contact with other guests

We are easily accessed by car or bike and are just off the A36 just between Salisbury and Warminster.
From London or West Country, leave the A303 at the A36 junction at Wylye and follow signs to A36 Salisbury. The first section of A36 is dual carriageway. After the end of the dual carriageway, the turning is only 200 metres on the LEFT into a wide gateway. There will be signs to Ballington Lodge.

From Salisbury on the A36, after the Steeple Langford by-pass there is a long downhill straight with the The Langfords road joining from the left. The turning is on the RIGHT 350 metres after this junction. If you miss the turning and end up on the dual carriageway, take the small left turn immediately the dual carriageway starts that leads to the Ballington/Yarnbury office complex where you can turn round and try again. The postcode for the house is BA12 0QF. The Lodge turning from the A36 is opposite the gates to the house. Do not go to the house.

We have 10 exclusive plots. We can have up to 5 people in our tents and can increase this if asked as there are two tents in each plot. One is a chill out tent but we can be flexible. If you would like to make group bookings please call us to enquire.

Currently we are unable to take dogs, due to game birds surrounding the camps.

Hartley Farm Shop & Kitchen stock some delicious local produce and the village shop has various other items and is open until around 10pm.

We do not have Wifi but the 4G seems to be very good in this location.

I’m afraid not you can only stay in our allocated tents.

Depending on the social distancing rules we plan to put up a communal tented area but we will be monitoring the government guidelines on this and make a decision based on them. There are benches and tables outside each tent.

We provide winter duvets and blankets, but if you feel the cold easily, you may wish to bring extra layers (thick PJs, blankets, sleeping bags etc).. Most guests sleep very well!
